Ossining Town Supervisor, 2008 to 2010
As Town Supervisor, Catherine Borgia has worked to reduce the Ossining Town budget while maintaining services.
- She established the Citizen Finance
Committee to create goals for making government more efficient.
- She initiated an energy audit and green initiatives to cut long run
costs of town operations.
- She reduced the Town operating budget by 8%, taking a 10% salary cut upon entering office; Town board members followed with salary cuts in July.

Trustee, Village of Ossining, 2005 to 2008
As a village trustee and deputy mayor, Catherine has been a leader in planning for Ossining’s bright future.
She had leadership roles in the development of the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code (adopted September 2009), economic revitalization initiatives,
and communication and outreach to Ossining residents and community groups.
